From Audit Process to Going Live

Your New System

Do they come to you? Do you go to them? Do you reach them by; eMail, Web-site, Snail-Mail, Exhibitions, Advertising? What communications does your organisation rely on: Roads, Trains, Air, Telephones, Internet?

It would be more appropriate to regard your new telephone system as a communications platform. If you choose right it will be the last one you will ever need. The convergence of voice and data onto a single line is now in its third decade.   This means that you can add functionality in the future to your existing platform

It must be capable of dealing with all forms of Media and all forms of links, from ISDN, Broadband, Wireless, and many types of other fixed digital links.

Your Communications Audit

There are over one hundred questions that might be asked.  To each question, there are three answers.

What you’ve got, What you need and What is Possible

We look at what functionality

What is required from your new system: Direct Dialling, VoiceMail, Unified Massaging, Call Queuing, Call Routing/ACD, Voice over IP, Handset Features, Network Interfaces. Wireless, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth applications. Wireless handsets, DECT and IP.

The Internet

We look at how it connects to the ‘Super-highway’. Do you want Video Conferencing? How about SIP Trunks and other Voice over IP options? How you are sending and receiving data and video. How much bandwidth does your Internet connection need?

We then discuss subjects such as:

Project Management. Risk Analysis, Volumetrics, Implementation Timescales, SLA's, Transition, HR Issues, Risk Assessment.

What do we leave you with?

From carrying out the telecommunications audit you have many choices. The first thing you get is the Statement of Requirements, detailing what your new system needs. From here you can negotiate with suppliers Etc, or you can ask us to go as far as completing the whole project for you or anywhere in between. Please see ‘Introduction’
